This program is currently unavailable. Click here to view all of our current programs.

Science Around You (SAY) presents a unique opportunity to learn how to request and process images from Micro Observatory telescopes from Center for Astrophysics from Smithsonian and Harvard University Observatory!
Learn about our solar system, galaxies, nebulas and other objects and take images of them without staying up at night and own any telescope and camera equipment.  All students need to have are their laptops with access to wifi and web browser.  They will be part of the YouthAstroNet program with accounts and short pre- and post- survey for Center of Astrophysics research.
Students will create a capstone project at the end that they share their experiences in astrophotography and learn about our sky.  Fun hand-on activities to help understand our sky.  Students will have a brief talk about some interesting careers in STEM related to astrophysics and science in general.
