LOCATION/TIME UPDATES-SEE BELOWCooking is a life skill, and so is eating!On a mission to redefine kid food; Kids’ Test Kitchen’s enthusiastic Facilitators get eaters of all ages and abilities, cooking, tasting, and thinking about healthy ingredients!Students engage with food in a way that is both educational and fun. Through hands-on experience, kids are taught the value of fresh, healthy ingredients and gainappreciation for the process of transforming those ingredients into a finished product. Each class closes with an opportunity to taste the result of their hard work.Even the most reluctant eaters enjoy Kids’ Test Kitchen, where participation isencouraged, and the choice to taste is always one’s own.Students receive a printed recipe card and the focal ingredient - or a sample of the finished dish - so they can show off what they learned at home!Parents report their kids come home from Kids’ Test Kitchen EXCITED about fresh ingredients and new flavors! Reluctant eaters learn that food is safe and fun! And everyone practices essential life skills like teamwork, time management, and patience, along with the obvious skills like slicing, measuring, and cooking! Kids have food allergies, but they shouldn’t miss out on the fun. We know allergies andcan work around them, making sure that everyone is having fun and staying safe.LOCATION/TIME UPDATES:ALL Kids Test Kitchen RAPs WILL BE OFFSITE AT THE RECREATION BUILDING, 21 HIGHLAND STREET, SOUTHBOROUGHWOODWARD RAP- Students will be picked up and transported to the Recreation Building for class.  Parent pick up is required at 4:30pm at the Recreation Building unless your child attends extended day.  Extended day students will be transported back to Woodward for extended day.NEARY RAP- Students will be picked up and transported to the Recreation Building for class. Parent pick up is required at 4:15pm at the Recreation Building unless your child attends extended day. Extended day students will be transported back to Neary for extended day.*Families who have students with allergies or other necessary dietary modifications are required to complete the linked form

Safe@Home is ideal for students that have expressed interest in assuming the responsibility of staying home alone. Students learn how to practice safe habits, how to prevent unsafe situations, and what to do when faced with dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies. Students are also introduced to the Safe Sitter® First Aid Chart and learn a system to help them assess and respond to injuries and illnesses.Offering three dates in 2026:Thursday, February 26th 4:30pm-6:30pmWednesday, April 15th 4:30pm-6:30pmWednesday, June 3rd 4:30pm-6:30pmSouthborough Recreation will not be providing transportation to this program due to the later start time.   Parents are responsible for 4:30pm drop off and 6:30pm pick up at the Recreation Department, 21 Highland Street, Southborough.
