Advanced Pickleball Ladder League - Advanced Pickleball Ladder League Program Structure:Fridays, 6:00 to 8:00pm at Richardson Tennis Courts at Neary School8-week session – April 5, 12, 19, 26, May 3, 10, 17, 24 (May 31 as makeup day)Advanced players 3.5-4.0Individual round robin play, mixed gender6 games each night, each with a different partner and against a different pair of opponents on 2 courtsLadder managed on Google Sheets, players must have/make Google account10 players registered to ensure we have minimum 8 players each sessionAdvanced Player Definition:3.5 Skill Players must be able to:-Can consistently dink while changing directions from cross court to down the line forehand & backhand-Punches volley to the back 1⁄2 of opponent court, to keep opponents at the baseline-Sustains a controlled volley exchange at the net-Performs 3rd shot drop from the baseline-Is beginning to dink with a purpose-Moving forward as a team to approach N VZ for dinks & volleys-Developing directional control while performing an overhead-Demonstrates control on forehand groundstrokes (direction, speed, depth, height)-Demonstrates control on backhand groundstrokes (direction, depth, height-Keeps ball in play during rallies and is aware of minimizing errors-Able to communicate effectively with partner & utilize different strategies to expose opponent weaknesses-Using deeper and higher returns to approach the net quicker-Uses offensive lobs effectively-Demonstrates better placement and depth on serves-Demonstrates better placement and depth on return of serves-Improved control when adjusting to different ball speeds (serves, groundstrokes, volleys)-14 out of 20 windshield wiper dinks-Forehand & Backhand down the line with 8/10 accuracy-Forehand & Backhand cross court with 8/10 accuracy-3rd shot drop from baseline: forehand and backhand down the line with 3/5 accuracy Moderator:Suzanne Cox will be the league moderator. She is a USPA certified coach who teaches both beginners and intermediate players. She also co-organizes the annual Jacob Rogers Memorial Pickleball Tournament for youth mental health as well as consults for other charity tournament in our area.
