WELCOME TO SOUTHBOROUGH PICKLEBALLBEGINNER 1Come join Southborough Recreation as we offer an instructional pickleball program for people new to the sport or just beginning. Led by an instructor, learn the game's rules, techniques and skills and join your community on the courts! Our curriculum will begin with the basics and end with participants playing full games against each other.- Space is limited to 8 players per session.- Limited equipment available to use. It is encouraged to provide your own paddle.BEGINNER 2Players must have completed Beginner 1 clinic or rated 2.5 with knowledge of scoring and court positioning. This is for players who want to gain more confidence on the court and improve their overall pickleball experience. Join us for a Spring Pottery Workshop, designed for ages 10 and up. Unleash your creativity as you craft beautiful spring-themed pottery pieces, perfect for parent gifts or seasonal decorations. Our experienced instructors will guide you through each step, ensuring a fun and rewarding experience for all skill levels. Please plan to wear comfortable clothes and shoes or bring an apron to wear because it can get messy. The clay projects will not be available to take home at the end of class. Safe@Home is ideal for students that have expressed interest in assuming the responsibility of staying home alone. Students learn how to practice safe habits, how to prevent unsafe situations, and what to do when faced with dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies. Join Southborough Recreation as we take part in recreational league play with Northborough, Westborough, Grafton, and Hudson Recreation. This league is not super competitive, but if you sign up, you must have some experience playing.Teams will play one game per week at either 4:30pm or 6pm in a nearby town. Teams will consist of 13 players. 10 players on the field. Everyone bats. Players will be responsible for bringing their own gloves. Batting helmets are not required.The league will provide game balls, an umpire, team t-shirts, at least one team bat, and a face mask to be worn by the pitcher (not required). Additional gameplay rules will be provided prior to the start of the season. In this junior hands-on electronics class, students will gain experience with creating their own electronics; designing custom light-up greeting cards, electric games, mazes, and even musical instruments. Each class day consists of a circuitry lesson and a hands-on electronics project, using components like lights, buzzers, switches, motors, and sensors. Circuit Lab staff will make sure participants create a project that they can be proud of each day. Most class days include a take-home project.

In this American Freestyle Mixed Martial Arts Program, children will develop vital life skills: Discipline, Motivation, Respect, and how to build confidence and make healthy life choices. These values are at the heart of this martial arts program. Students will learn creative self-defense tactics with a variety of martial arts such as Karate, Boxing, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Taekwondo, Krav Maga, and Jiu-Jitsu. Come experience a hands-on world of fun as you conduct a variety of scientific experiments! You will work on and take home your very own Chemistry Lab Kit, enabling you to complete many activities! Learn and discover many different scientific concepts in an entertaining and innovative approach. You will be trained to work like a real scientist in the lab. You will also make and take home some cool chemical creations! Learn all about energy and molecules, create a crazy bouncy glob from glue, and some scary green slime! Make your very own UV bracelet and watch it react to the sun. You will also get to witness some amazing scientific demonstrations from your instructor. Watch snow being created and feel how cold it is! Experience a powerful magnet, magic sand, and many other exciting experiments in this fascinating and educational program!

We offer a wide range of STEM lessons that help children learn new things, discover how things work, and create solutions to problems.
