COUNSELOR IN TRAINING for Ages 13 & 14 June 30th to August 14th 2026 MONDAY - FRIDAY  8:15 AM - 4:00 PM Location: Woodward Elementary School $185.00Please register for your desired weeks  Registration Opens February 25, 2025 at 6:00 PM.  Southborough Recreation’s Counselor in Training program is a specialized part of our summer camp for ages 13-14 looking to acquire skills while assisting in the work of our summer program. Selected CIT’s will be exposed to situations such as behavior management, safety, programming, and team building.  CITs will work across both age groups to be exposed to as many situations and experiences as possible. CITs will be assigned at the start of each week and rotated as needed throughout the summer weeks. Spaces are extremely limited. Please note: CIT’s must bring, at minimum, 2 nut free snacks, water bottle, and a lunch. Lunch and snack will NOT be provided by the Recreation Department. Chess Wizards has been teaching the game of chess since 2002. Join us this summer for tons of challenging chess lessons, exciting games, and cool prizes. Our clubs include fun team chess games (like Corner Chess), recess time (of course), snacks, tournaments, and puzzles. Each kid receives a T-shirt, trophy, and puzzle folder. Chess Wizards has been teaching the game of chess since 2002. Join us this summer for tons of challenging chess lessons, exciting games, and cool prizes. You'll improve your chess skills, meet new friends, and work out your most powerful muscle— your brain! Our clubs include fun team chess games (like Corner Chess), recess time (of course), snacks, tournaments, and puzzles. Each kid receives a T-shirt, trophy, and puzzle folder. We include all the materials necessary for your child to participate. Unleash your brain power and spend part of your vacation with Chess Wizards! NEW! Summer in the Afternoon Add-On  We’re excited to enhance our enrichment lineup with a brand-new afternoon add-on! Participants enrolled in select specialty morning camps can extend their day with Summer in the Afternoon, providing seamless full-day childcare for families. This flexible option combines engaging morning enrichment with a fun, afternoon experience making summer scheduling easier than ever. Rec Van transportation will be provided from your specialty camp to Woodward School, where your child will join our traditional summer program. Parent/guardian pick-up is required at Woodward School by 4:00pm. COUNSELOR IN TRAINING for Ages 13 & 14 June 30th to August 14th 2026 MONDAY - FRIDAY  8:15 AM - 4:00 PM Location: Woodward Elementary School $185.00Please register for your desired weeks  Registration Opens February 25, 2025 at 6:00 PM.  Southborough Recreation’s Counselor in Training program is a specialized part of our summer camp for ages 13-14 looking to acquire skills while assisting in the work of our summer program. Selected CIT’s will be exposed to situations such as behavior management, safety, programming, and team building.  CITs will work across both age groups to be exposed to as many situations and experiences as possible. CITs will be assigned at the start of each week and rotated as needed throughout the summer weeks. Spaces are extremely limited. Please note: CIT’s must bring, at minimum, 2 nut free snacks, water bottle, and a lunch. Lunch and snack will NOT be provided by the Recreation Department.
